Hints & Tips

Integrating your site into the web

If you have a new site, or are having one built, it's a great idea to add links to your site and have other sites linking to your site to help you integrate it into the world wide web.

You can do this by negotiating links with other sites (if you link to them, they will link to you). Also, sign up to any online directories. The more links you have to your site - the better. Why is this? Each link that is followed to your site helps towards the ranking system for some major search engines. They like to provide people with relevent sites and can do this by using their perceived popularity.

Dont forget to...

  • Add your website address to your email signatures, business cards, letter heads etc
  • Email your customers & clients to tell them your new website is up and running
  • Submit your site to search engines and online directories
