What is Rawe web design and where is it based?

Rawe Web design offers web development services - designing and building websites, logo’s and creating other digital media. Rawe is operated by Freelance web designer Richard A W Edwards, a sole trader and is based in Birmingham, England, UK.

How long will it take to complete my project?

The time it takes to complete a project can vary depending on size and complexity. i.e. If your site has many pages, or has special features such as large forms or Flash applications. I make every effort to execute your project effectively and efficiently but will never compromise on quality. You will always be kept updated by email on the progress of your project. For more information, please take a look over our process page which gives some timescales for certain aspects of a project.

What services DONT you currently offer?

At this time, Rawe does not offer:

  • e-commerce websites
  • Content Management Systems (CMS) / Blogging sites (as they use a CMS).

Will you write the text content for my website?

For a professional touch we would recommend you consult a copywriter who specialises in writing web content. Rawe does not offer this service - no-body knows your company like you do so the content is best created by yourself or a copywriter who you can communicate your needs to.

If you do choose a copywriter, I will be happy to liaise with them regarding the website and they can send the content directly to me once you have approved their copy.

Do you have a price list?

Some web design companies have very high costs, at Rawe we have no overheads to cover and we offer affordable prices.

You may come across some sites offering very low costs. Here we have very high standards meaning you get a service which you can value. Cheap sites often lack functionality, use invalid code and look poor.

My website is complete but I need something changed, or regular changes how much will it cost?

There is no charge for very minor text changes, such as a telephone number amendment.

For small changes, such as including new text, changing images etc will be charged at £20 plus £25 per hour.

Larger changes such as adding new pages will be quoted for.

Payment Questions

Why is there no VAT charge on my quote/invoice?

VAT is charged by companies earning over a certain amount each tax year. Rawe web design does not currently exceed this limit and therefore there is no VAT charge to you. Rawe is operated by freelance web designer - Richard Edwards.

Is there a deposit? How much will it be?

Before we start a project over £200 we will require a 25% deposit to cover design and labour. We regret that this cannot be returned if you decide to back out of the project.

Deposits may be negotiable depending on the size of the project, this can be discussed and agreed before the project begins.

How can I make payment?

I am able to accept:

  • Cash;
  • Cheques- made payable to Richard Edwards;
  • Bank transfer - please make contact for details.

How long do I have before I make payment?

Payment is required up to 20 days after the invoice has been issued.
